Project description

This project involved the redevelopment of an obsolete NHS community clinic site to provide new build high quality accommodation for 2 local GP Practices and their staff in a busy South London borough.

The 8 GPs and other visiting clinicians provide a wide range of primary care services to their patients and the new building facilitates improved access to healthcare in the immediate locality.

The site

The site, which was used as a community clinic, was owned by the former Bromley PCT for many years, before it fell into disrepair and ultimately was closed down. Haven Health entered into an agreement as Development Partner to NHS Property Services, who took over the site from Bromley PCT in 2013 following the dissolution of all PCTs.

The building

The new Medical Centre was completed in May 2017 and has been much acclaimed by the local patient community. It is a modern urban design, with undercroft parking allowing for maximum development on the site. As well as accommodation for the two busy GP Practices, the Centre provides clinical and consulting space for visiting clinicians and healthcare teams and also includes a Pharmacy.
